[Watch] Hasaranga Turns On The Heat With A Magical Four-Wicket Haul In CPL 2024

Wanindu Hasaranga is known for his genuine wicket-taking abilities, and he has repeatedly proved that in franchise and international cricket. He is currently playing CPL 2024 for St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots and in the 11th match of the season, the leg-spinner displayed his magic with a crucial four-wicket haul.

St Kitts scored 153 while batting first and needed their bowlers to step up in the second innings. Brandon King and Justin Greaves started off on a bright note for Antigua and Barbuda Falcons, but Nortje got the breakthrough in the 5th over and then Hasaranga delivered with a wicket of dangerous Justin Greaves.

Antigua were still on the right track though, and it was Hasaranga who triggered a mini-collapse in the middle overs to bring his side back in the game. He got the wicket of Jewel Andrew in the 12th over and followed it up with a wicket on the very next ball of Shamar Springer.

He then removed Sam Billings, the English star in the 16th over to put his team in a great position and once again showed why he is an invaluable asset for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.

Antigua And Barbuda Falcons Cross The Line Despite Hasaranga Heroics

The wicket of Billings reduced Falcons to 110-7, but they still had all-rounders in their ranks and it was Imad Wasim who led the way with an unbeaten 17 as the likes of Roshon Primus and Fabian Allen too contributed with handy cameos to take their side to a two-wicket win. 

It was the second win for Antigua and Barbuda Falcons this season in six matches while St Kitts and Nevis Patriots lost their fifth match in a row after starting off the competition with a win.
