New Zealand thumped South Africa by seven wickets in match five of the Zimbabwe T20I tri-series 2025 in Harare. The Proteas batted first and carted 134-8 from 20 overs, with Reeza Hendricks top-scoring with 41. For New Zealand, Jacob Duffy, Adam Milne and captain Mitchell Santner picked up two wickets each in the innings.
Chasing 135, opener Tim Seifert bludgeoned an unbeaten 66* off just 48 balls with six fours and two huge sixes. He and Daryl Mitchell notched up the winning runs for New Zealand in just 15.5 overs as the ‘Black Caps’ continue to remain unbeaten in the series.
Jaker Ali, Shoriful Islam Script Bangladesh’s Series Win
Bangladesh pipped Pakistan by eight runs in the second T20I to seal the three-match series in Mirpur. After slipping to 28-4 upfront, Jaker Ali crafted 55 fighting runs as the hosts hauled 133 from 20 overs. For Pakistan, Salman Mirza, debutant Ahmed Daniyal and Abbas Afridi all picked up two wickets each in the innings.
In response, Pakistan crashed to 30-6, and eventually to 47-7 before Faheem Ashraf clobbered a blistering 32-ball 51. However, a three-wicket haul from Shoriful Islam and inspired spells from Mahedi Hasan and Tanzim Hasan Sakib restricted the ‘Men in Green’ to just 125 in 19.2 overs.
Harmanpreet Kaur Cranks Up A Century In Decider
Indian Women captain Harmanpreet Kaur led her team from the front in the series-deciding third ODI against England at Chester-le-Street. The senior batter notched up 102 runs off 84 balls with 14 boundaries to record her seventh ODI ton, going past 4,000 runs in the format in the process.
Harmanpreet Kaur’s innings, coupled with a Jemimah Rodrigues 50 and a blistering cameo from Richa Ghosh catapulted the Indian total to a staggering 318-5 off 50 overs.
Deepti Sharma, Sophia Dunkley Rise In ICC Rankings
Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma and English batter Sophia Dunkley made a significant leap in the latest ICC rankings for women batters. Deepti, who scored a match-winning 62* against England and followed it up with another 30 in the series, rose 10 spots to jump to number 23. Dunkley also jumped 24 places to reach number 52 spot on the rankings after compiling 83 runs off 92 balls against India Women. Smriti Mandhana retained her number one position on the charts with 727 rating points.
Sajid Khan Ruled Out Of Pakistan Shaheens Tour Of ENG
Sajid Khan has been ruled out of Pakistan Shaheens tour of England after suffering a stress fracture. The cricketer sustained a blow on his thumb during a training session at the Onbridge School Ground in Kent. Sajid Khan was among the four international stars selected in Pakistan Shaheens team for the tour alongside Saud Shakeel, Mir Hamza and Musa Khan. As per the schedule, Pakistan Shaheen will play two three-day games and three 50-overs matches between July and August.
