Harmanpreet Kaur Completes 4000 ODI Runs; Joins Mandhana, Mithali In Special List

In the ongoing 3rd ODI between India women and England women at the Riverside Stadium in Durham, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur entered the history books as the right-handed batter completed 4000 ODI runs. 

At the time of writing, Harmanpreet Kaur is batting on 38 and with the knock, the 36-year-old became the third Indian after Smriti Mandhana and Mithali Raj to reach this milestone. 

Further, Harmanpreet is the third-fastest Indian to 4000 ODI runs. Notably, Kaur took just 129 innings to break the 4000 runs mark. Meanwhile, here is the list of most runs for India in ODIs.

Harmanpreet Kaur Boasts A Stellar Career

Kaur made her debut in 2009 and has featured in 136 ODIs. Her stunning record  features six hundreds and 20 fifty-plus scores. Further, Kaur averages 37.83. Before the start of the match, Harmanpreet required just 3 runs to complete 4000 ODI runs. Overall, she has become the 17th cricketer to reach this feat.

The 36-year-old has over 7500 runs across formats and is the most capped Indian star with over 300 appearances.  At the time of writing this article, the India captain is batting on 57 as India have put 212 runs on the board after 41 overs. Harmanpreet's knock has come at a crucial time for India women as the series is on line at Durham. 

Notably, India started the tour with a win, but England bounced back and won the second match via DLS. Thus, the winner of the ongoing match will clinch the series.
