In the ongoing third women's ODI between India women and England women, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur made her bat talk and brought up her seventh ODI hundred.

The 36-year-old took 82 balls to reach her century. Her knock featured 14 boundaries. It was a difficult knock for the Indian skipper as the right-handed batter played through pain and discomfort. Notably, Harmanpreet Kaur suffered cramps in her back as she reached into her 80s.

The physios treated Kaur, following which the India skipper resumed her knock and slammed her 7th ODI hundred. It is Harmanpreet's first fifty-over hundred of the year and first since her unbeaten 103 (88) against South Africa women in the 2024 tour.

Harmanpreet Kaur Equals Mithali Raj's Record

With the century, Kaur also scripted history as she equalled Mithali Raj's record for joint-second most centuries by an Indian in Women ODIs. Notably, it was Kaur's 7th ODI century and is only behind Smriti Mandhana, who has 11 hundreds to her name. Here is the list of most centuries for India cricketers in women ODI's.

  • Smriti Mandhana - 11
  • Harmanpreet Kaur - 7
  • Mithali Raj - 7
  • Punam Raut - 3
  • Thirush Kamini - 2
