Babar Azam's Record In Danger! Kohli & Rohit On Verge Of Attaining 'This' Major Milestone

Pakistan's white-ball skipper Babar Azam recently attained a significant milestone, becoming the highest run-getter in T20Is. However, his record might not last long, with the Indian duo of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma on the verge of going past his tally. 

Babar has showcased remarkable consistency in the shortest format, amassing 4145 runs in 116 T20I innings. However, the Pakistan skipper receives serious threat from Kohli and Rohit, who might eclipse him to add another feather to their decorated throne. 

Both Rohit and Kohli have 4042 T20I runs under their belt and thus require only 104 runs to overtake Babar on the list of highest run-getters.

Considering Pakistan have already been eliminated and India will play at least three Super Eight games in the T20 World Cup, it's highly likely that one of the Indian stalwarts will surpass Babar. 

However, despite being the best batter in his side, Babar failed to make his mark in the T20 World Cup, managing 122 runs at a poor strike rate of 101.67. 

Kohli is also yet to record a noteworthy outing, while Rohit's form went downhill after a fighting half-century against Ireland in India's tournament opener. 

Nevertheless, riding on a spectacular team performance, India have proceeded to the Super Eights and will take on Afghanistan tomorrow in Barbados.
