There were speculations that Ashish Nehra and Vikram Solanki might leave Gujarat Titans after three successful seasons, just ahead of the IPL 2025 season. These rumors suggested a major shake-up in the franchise, particularly due to changes in ownership and coaching staff. However, recent reports confirm that Ashish Nehra will remain with the team for the upcoming season.

The rumours about Nehra's exit gained momentum amid talks that Torrent Pharma, an Ahmedabad-based company, was acquiring a controlling stake in Gujarat Titans. This development led to expectations of a complete overhaul of the coaching staff.

However, with Nehra staying on, it appears that the anticipated changes may not be as drastic as initially thought. Solanki will also continue, indicating that the coaching team, which includes Aashish Kapoor, Mithun Manhas, Narendra Negi, Naeem Amin, and Sandeep Raju, will largely remain intact.

Despite the stability among the coaching staff, one key figure will be missing—Gary Kirsten. After serving as the batting coach and mentor for three seasons, Kirsten left the Titans following the 2024 season to join Pakistan's white-ball cricket team. It remains unclear whether Gujarat Titans will seek a direct replacement for him or restructure the coaching staff in another way. Kirsten's absence could be a significant challenge for the team as they prepare for IPL 2025.

Ashish Nehra's Achievements With Gujarat Titans

Ashish Nehra and Vikram Solanki's contributions to Gujarat Titans have been substantial. They joined the franchise in IPL 2022 and immediately guided the team to its maiden title in their debut season—an impressive feat for a new franchise. The Titans also had an excellent run in IPL 2023, reaching the final, but they were defeated by Chennai Super Kings

Unfortunately, in IPL 2024, the team did not qualify for the playoffs, largely due to the departure of Hardik Pandya to Mumbai Indians and injuries to key players like Mohammad Shami.
