Arshdeep Singh has been in great form in T20 World Cup 2024, and he continued that in the game against Australia too, he started off with a bang, with a big wicket of David Warner on the last ball of the first over.

The fifth ball of the same over was hit for a boundary, but Arshdeep Singh came back in style with a lovely outswinger. It was a good-length delivery, around off. Warner was completely squared up with the delivery and tried to defend it. He got an outside edge and the ball went wide of the first slip fielder. 

Suryakumar Yadav dived full-length to his left and took a brilliant catch as India drew first blood in style.

Earlier, India posted a massive total of 205 on the board with Rohit Sharma top-scoring with 92. All Aussie bowlers were expensive except Josh Hazlewood who gave away just 14 runs in his four overs, but India surely have put Australia under pressure with a powerful performance with the bat.

There were handy cameos by the likes of Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube and Hardik Pandya and it would be interesting to see how Australia approach their chase after an early loss.
