On Wednesday, October 2, India's new-sensation Akash Deep visited Ram Temple in Ayodhya just a day after India's historic win over Bangladesh in the 2nd Test at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur.

After visiting the Ramp Temple in Ayodhya, Akash Deep spoke to the press where he reflected on his visit and also revealed the special wish he made for the Indian team.

Akash Deep On His Visit To Ayodhya

"It was a dream since long to have darshan of lord Ram, especially when this temple was built and I saw videos of lord Ram... I have prayed that the way we are playing, we keep that going on... I can't express it in words - how it felt to have darshan of lord Ram," said Akash Deep after offering prayers to lord Ram at Ram Temple.

Akash Deep's Magical Performance for India

In the recently concluded series against India, Akash Deep was magical with the bat and the ball. In the first Test, he took two crucial wickets. He bettered his performance in the Kanpur Test when he took three wickets.

He also contributed with the bat and whacked Shakib Al Hasan for two sixes off two balls with Virat Kohli's bat. He is eyeing to cement his place in the Indian team as he is acting as Mohammed Shami's understudy. Talking about Shami, India have dealt another blow as there are reports that Shami might miss the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy as he has swelling in his knee.

Before Australia, India will also face New Zealand, where Akash Deep is the front-runner to be the third bowling option for India after Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj.
