The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024 is getting exciting as the Guyana Amazon Warriors get ready to take on the Saint Lucia Kings in the first qualifier on Thursday, October 3, at Providence Stadium in Guyana. This important match will decide which team goes straight to the finals, while the losing team will have another chance to play in Qualifier 2 against the Barbados Royals.

The Guyana Amazon Warriors topped the CPL standings with seven wins and three losses, earning 14 points. Although they ended their league season with a tough 74-run loss, they still secured the top spot because of a better net run rate.

According to AccuWeather, the temperature at the Providence Stadium is expected to hover around 28°C, but with humidity levels soaring to 85%, it will feel more like 33°C, creating a warm and sticky atmosphere that may sap players' energy quickly.

The sky will be partly cloudy, providing some relief from the sun, while light northeast winds at 9 km/h may offer slight assistance to bowlers. Although there's only an 18% chance of rain, players should remain vigilant for light showers that could disrupt play. Overall, the conditions will demand that players stay hydrated and alert.
