In a dramatic announcement, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan and former cricketer Irfan Pathan appeared together at an exclusive screening of ‘Singham Again’ at a PVR cinema in Juhu, Mumbai, to confirm the second season of World Championship of Legends. Following the massive success of season 1, the 2nd edition will take place in July 2025.

Ajay Devgan is currently trending since the release of his action movie ‘Singham Again’. Interestingly, he is also the co-owner of World Championship of Legends that saw massive success in the season 1 held earlier this year in July in Birmingham. India Champions beat Pakistan Champions in an iconic final to lift the title in Birmingham.

Ajay Devgan, Irfan Pathan join hands for WCL Season 2

As per Crictracker, the inaugural season witnessed 984 million+ digital reach, 350 million+ global viewership, and 144 million+ social media engagements. Hence, Ajay Devgan joined Irfan Pathan, WLC leader Harshit Tomar, and franchise owners Puneet and Amandeep Singh to announce the second season during a screening of Singham movie at a PVR cinema in Juhu. Pathan and Devgan cut a big cake for the big news.

That aside, however, this season is full of much bigger rosters, new stars, and better coverage. A larger roster essentially translates to legendary moments and stronger bonds between the fans. It is planned to take place in July 2025, though the teams and format are yet to be decided. However, season two is going to rekindle that passion with an unprecedented cricket experience for the fans from every age group.

Yusuf Pathan’s classic finish helped India beat Pakistan in WLC S1

In the inaugural edition of the World Championship of Legends, India Champions clashed with Pakistan Champions in the finals held in Birmingham. Pakistan set a competitive target by scoring 156 runs. Meanwhile, India’s chase was powered by Rayudu’s 50 before Irfan Pathan’s brother Yusuf Pathan unleashed carnage. He scored 30 off just 16 balls to seal the title victory in some style.
