In the world of celebrity parents, not many can manage to keep things as low-key as Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli. They’ve been careful about keeping their personal life under wraps, especially when it comes to their kids, Vamika and Akaay. But in September, at an event in Mumbai, Anushka gave fans a rare peek into their parenting world.

Early Dinners With Family

Anushka shared a surprising family habit – dinner at 5:30 pm. “It started out of convenience because my daughter would want her dinner early,” she explained.

At first, it was just her and Vamika sharing a meal that early, but the habit stuck. “I started to see the benefits – I slept better, felt fresher in the morning, and had less brain fog,” she added.

Now, it’s become a full family routine. Anushka and Virat’s early dinner habit shows that sometimes, the simplest routines end up working wonders.

Routine is Everything

If there’s one thing Anushka insists on, it’s a routine for the kids. “We travel a lot as a family, so by creating a routine for them, I’m giving them a sense of control,” she said. Whether they’re at home or halfway around the world, meal and sleep times stay the same.

For Vamika and Akaay, this consistency helps them feel grounded, no matter how hectic things get. Anushka’s take? “It helps them regulate themselves much better.”

Passing Down Family Recipes

Anushka also revealed a sweet family tradition – she and Virat personally cook for the kids. “It’s about passing down our mothers’ recipes,” she shared.

Embracing Imperfection

When it comes to parenting, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli don’t believe in perfection.

“We complain about things in front of our kids, to show that we’re not perfect,” she admitted.

For them, showing their flaws is a way to teach Vamika and Akaay that it’s okay not to have it all together. According to her, this eases the pressure on the kids to be perfect.

Leading by Example

Anushka doesn’t believe in directly teaching values, especially since Vamika is so young. “It’s more about how we live our lives,” she shared.

For her, it’s the small actions that matter, like showing gratitude in everyday situations. Kids pick up on these things naturally, and Anushka believes that’s the best way to pass down values like kindness and respect.
