In an extraordinary display of fan enthusiasm, a special charter flight named 'AIC24WC,' carrying the 2024 T20 World Cup winning Team India to New Delhi, has been declared the most tracked flight on the flight tracking portal 'Flightradar24.'

Team India's T20 World Cup winning celebrations were halted in Barbados after a Category 5 Hurricane named Beryl hit the city just hours after the conclusion of the tournament finals on June 29.

Rohit Sharma and his boys, including their families, BCCI board members, and several media personnel, were stuck on the island as the storm wreaked havoc in the city.

That being said, after the Hurricane changed its course to Jamaica, the airport in Barbados resumed its operations and BCCI quickly summoned a special charter flight to ensure safe passage of the team back home in India.

However, due to unfavourable weather conditions, the special Air India charter flight named AIC24WC arrived a little late of its original schedule. The team boarded the flight at 4.00 am local time and jetted off to a 16-hours long travel to New Delhi.

Meanwhile, ahead of Team India's scheduled arrival at 6.00 am IST on Thursday, fans cannot keep calm to welcome the World Cup heroes back home.

As per the latest report, AIC24WC has become the most tracked flight on a tracking portal named 'Flightradar24' as fans have been constantly keeping tabs on the flight route to stay updated with the team's actual arrival time.

Notably, upon arrival in New Delhi, Team India will be hosted by the PMO office, where they will meet Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for breakfast before heading to Mumbai in the afternoon for an open bus 2 km long parade.
