Abrar Ahmed and Saud Shakeel have been fined five percent of their match fees for Level 1 breaches of the PSL's code of conduct during the Eliminator match between Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United at Karachi's National Bank Stadium on Friday.

Abrar was found in violation of Article 2.4 of the HBL PSL Code of Conduct, which articulates the offense of defying an umpire's instruction during the match.

The incident occurred in the 19th over of Islamabad United's batting innings, when Abrar, in a fielding position, ignored the umpires' instructions and rolled the ball along the ground despite being expressly told not to do so.

In another occurrence within the same match, Saud was found to have contravened Article 2.5 of the HBL PSL Code of Conduct, which prohibits the use of language, actions, or gestures that may disparage or provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter following their dismissal.

After the dismissal of United's batter Salman Ali Agha in the 12th over, Saud approached Salman closely and uttered remarks that had the potential to provoke the batter.

Both players admitted their guilt regarding the charges and agreed to the penalties proposed by match referee Mohammad Javed.

As for the match, Saud Shakeel didn't score a single run, and Abrar Ahmed only managed to take one wicket as Islamabad United trounced Quetta Gladiators by 39 runs, knocking them out of the tournament and clinching a spot in the second qualifier.
