In the first inning, the Aussies induced a collapse, with Mitchell Starc and Scott Boland leading the charge. A similar story unfolded again in the third inning as India were bowled out for 157.

Scott Boland registers career best figures

Meanwhile, Scott Boland delivered his career-best performance in the Sydney Test against India. He bowled a total of 36.5 overs combined in two innings and picked up 10 wickets with 76 runs. This is his maiden 10-wicket-haul in Test career. He also became the only second Australian bowler after Glenn McGrath to pick a 10-wicket-haul in Sydney Cricket Ground since 1900.

Boland's relentless precision and ability to extract movement off the surface proved to be the undoing of a formidable Indian batting lineup. He troubled Virat Kohli in both innings to get the veteran dismissed in a similar fashion.

The pacer struck at the right time to ensure India does not get big partnerships. Coming as an injury replacement for Josh Hazlewood, Scott Boland has come a long way, as he will finish the series with 21 wickets in three Tests.

India is in trouble as Jasprit Bumrah is unfit to bowl

After getting bowled out for 157 runs on Day 3, India set up a 162-run target for Australia in the Sydney Test. However, in what comes as a huge bowl, India's spearhead and captain, Jasprit Bumrah, has not taken the field. After suffering from a back spasm on Day 2, Bumrah returned to bat in the first session of Day 3. However, it appears that the pacer is not yet fit enough to bowl long spells, and hence, he didn't take the field with the team on Day 3.
