2024 has also come to an end. It has been a great year for cricket fans, particularly, Indian fans, as the Men in Blue ended their 11-year-long ICC trophy drought by clinching the 2024 T20 World Cup 2024.

Despite the ICC's success, it has been a roller-coaster year for Indian fans because of the Rohit Sharma-led side's mixed performance. Therefore, the aim of this article is to rate every series India played in 2024.

It was a near-perfect series as the third match was nearly won by Afghanistan, but it went to super-over and India won it from there. The series was a 4.5/5 because Afghanistan was close to win the third T20I.

2. England Tour of India 2024 - 4/5

In late January, England toured India for a five-match Test series. It was again a brilliant show at home by the Rohit Sharma-led side as they won the series 4-1. It was the Yashasvi Jaiswal series as the southpaw broke several records and amassed 712 runs in that tour.

India claimed their second T20 World Cup title in Barbados on June 27, 2024. It was a brilliant show by the Men in Blue and also marked the last assignment of Rahul Dravid and his coaching staff.

Things got tense in the final, but it was the Jasprit Bumrah show that snatched victory out of the jaws of defeat.

July - August 2024

India tour of Zimbabwe - 4/5

Following the T20 World Cup success, a second-string Indian side toured Zimbabwe for a T20I series from July 6-14 under Shubman Gill's leadership. The Men in Blue started the series with an embarrassing defeat, but bounced back strongly to win the series 4-1.

India went onto win four games in a trott, that also saw Abhishek Sharma's century.  Further, the wins were thumping and avenged the embarrassing first match loss.

India Tour of Sri Lanka - 2.5/5

India toured Sri Lanka for multi-format white-ball tour from July 27 - August 7. The series marked the first assignment of head coach Gautam Gambhir and also saw the return of senior stars like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.

India started the T20I series on a high and won the three matches to seal the series 3-0 as the third one ended in a tie and was won in the super over. Coming to ODIs, it was a disaster as India registered a 0-2 defeat against Sri Lanka for the first time in 27 years.

The first ODI ended in a tie and India lost the remaining two matches to concede the series.

September-November 2024

Bangladesh Tour of India 2024 - 5/5

It was a perfect series for India as they dominated the Tigers completely in the Tests and T20Is. Firstly, they beat Bangladesh 2-0 in Tests and then the focus shifted to T20Is, where they whitewashed the Tigers and it also marked the beginning of Nitish Kumar Reddy.

The series was played from September 19- October.

New Zealand Tour Of India 2024 - 0.5/5

The Kiwis toured India from October 16 to November 5. The series marked the downfall of Indian cricket as the Tom Latham-led side whitewashed India 3-0 at home. Latham became the first-ever New Zealand captain to script this feat against India in India.

The defeat brought immense embarrassment to Indian cricket.

November - December 2024

India tour of Australia - 2/5

India's last and ongoing tour is their away series to Australia. The visitors started the tour on a positive note and registered a win in Perth. However, they suffered a defeat in the 2nd and fourth Test to now trail the series 1-2.

India suffered defeat in Adelaide and Melbourne, which has now slimmed their chances for WTC 2025 final qualification.
