Bangladesh will try to keep themselves alive in the Super 8 of the T20 World Cup 2024 with a shocking win over Rohit Sharma’s India when they go head-to-head on Saturday in their all-important clash at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

Najmul Hossain Shanto’s Bangladesh bowling attack has produced an impressive show so far, helping them reach this competition stage. However, their batters have failed to perform to their high standards, and hence, they might need to bring a change or two before facing the heavyweights, India.

In their previous fixture against Australia, Shanto promoted Rishad Hossain to No. 4. The move did not pay off, which did not allow Shakib Al Hasan to play with independence and time.

Bangladesh are likely to avoid making the same mistake. They would love to see Shakib back at his very best against India, and for that, he should come at No. 4, if not No. 3. In addition, Soumya Sarkar is expected to be back as well, replacing Tanzid Hasan at the top of the order. The move could create a new opening pair in the form of Litton and Sarkar.

The others, unless there is any injury concerns, are expected to keep their places.
