We are into an interesting stage of T20 World Cup 2024 now, every game from hereon is crucial in determining the lineups for the semis, and a slip-up here could lead to an abrupt end to the World Cup campaign. This is more true for Bangladesh, who will be heading into the game against India with a loss against the Aussies, and let's see how Rohit Sharma and co. go about their business after a convincing win against Afghanistan in their first Super 8 game.

Team Previews

India

The 'Men in Blue' have not lost a single game in this World Cup, with three wins in group stage and a win over Afghanistan to start off Super 8. Virat Kohli, their talismanic batter has not hit his straps so far, but the likes of Suryakumar Yadav and Rishabh Pant have played some handy knocks, while Hardik also showed his skills with the bat against Afghanistan. 

India though would be hoping that Rohit along with Kohli score more runs at the top, while the form of Shivam Dube is a cause of worry. He might be replaced by Sanju Samson in this game.

On the bowling front, Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah have bowled brilliantly and now with India's campaign shifted to Caribbean, the spinners have also started to join the party. 

Overall, things look in control for India, and the way they came back after early jitters against the Afghans, would give them a lot of confidence. They were also too hot to handle for Bangladesh, when these two sides met in the practice game of the World Cup, and expect them to put a strong performance again.

Bangladesh

The Bangla Tigers, on the other hand, have played decent cricket and came into Super 8 with wins against Sri Lanka, Netherlands and Nepal. In the Super 8 match against Australia, though they were outplayed comprehensively, but the good thing was that their skipper Shanto scored runs which is a much-needed boost ahead of the game against India. 

Hridoy also scored runs in the last game while Shakib, Mahmudullah have also played some handy knocks, and all of them need to fire in unison, if they want to get over the line against India. On the bowling front, Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Mustafizur Rahman have bowled well while Rishad Hossain has picked wickets at regular intervals to show his utility as a leg-spinner. Overall, Bangladesh have a good side on paper, and if the big names like Litton Das, Shanto, Shakib Al Hasan can fire in this game, they can give India a run for their money.
