Rohit To Bring In Dynamic Rishabh Pant In Middle Order; IND's Probable XI For 3rd ODI Vs SL

Ahead of the ODI series Vs Sri Lanka, it was widely expected that the Indian team will clean sweep the Lankan Lions with ease, but that has not been the case.

After a nail-biting first ODI, where the match was tied, Team India suffered a shocking defeat in the second match of the series.

Likely changes India can make

Chasing 241, India were off to a solid start, courtesy a sublime fifty from skipper Rohit Sharma. However, once he departed the team fell like a pack of cards and lost the match by 32 runs. With the series on the line for India, expect a couple of changes to be made.

For starters, the opening combination will remain the same, with Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer coming in at number 4. However, with Gautam Gambhir believing in experimentation, it is a possibility to include Rishabh Pant in the playing XI, in place of KL Rahul.

Rahul's keeping has not been up to the mark, and the team could replace him with a specialised keeper. Also, with the pitch helping the spinners, India can gamble by including Riyan Parag in place of Shivam Dube. Parag can chip in with the ball, and can also bat, making him an asset on the R Premadasa surface.

Expect the rest of the squad to remain the same as India look to level the series.
