The Royal Challengers Bengaluru have been one of the most followed teams in the IPL. They have commanded huge supporter base despite their empty trophy cabinet. More often then not the notion with RCB is that they lose half of their games in the auction table.

Although there have been short comings for RCB in the auction over the years, they came with a better approach in this year's event. The team has over the years suffered due to the lack of middle-order batters and proper finishers along with quality in the pace department. While the percentage spent on bowlers seem more, RCB have spent more on their batters when average spent for a player is seen. While the cost of each batter for them has been nearly 8 Cr, for each bowler they have spent nearly INR 4 Cr. The fact they have spent over 11 Cr each for their two wicketkeepers is also a highlight from their auction.

Two Australian players cost the RCB around INR 16 Cr, so the Aussies have gained the most from the franchise (Average Cost). The lowest value has been for South Africans, as Lungi Ngidi was their only player from the nation for a price of INR 1 Cr.
