The great saga of the IPL 2025 auction is finally over and after intense action of a couple of days all the teams have filled their squads. The teams have looked to fill up their squads with players that fit perfectly in the roles they had available.

Chennai Super Kings have been one of the most consistent teams in the tournament. They have always presented tough competition for the title. A majority of the battle has been won by them in the auction table. The CSK generally look to retain their core and trust their proven soldiers. As we get from the figure, CSK went ahead and spent most on their all-rounders and allotted almost 45% of their budget on them. If the wicketkeeper batters and batters are counted as the same category, then they have spent 28% of their money there, while spending 27% of their budget on bowlers.

The costliest nation in the CSK mix of things is Sri Lanka as they have only player from there at a cost of INR 13 Cr. They have one Australian for INR 2 Cr, while two English players at an average cost of INR 2 Cr, which is the lost.

Noor Ahmed  - INR 10 Cr

The Afghan wrist spinner was bought for INR 10 Cr in the auction by CSK. Given the conditions at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Noor Ahmad looks like a brilliant pick up the five-time IPL champions.

The English all-rounder had a base price of INR 2 Cr for the auction. CSK got Sam Curran when his price went just 20% higher. Hence, this was the best budget pick by the Super Kings.
