The Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024 has been a roller-coaster ride for Royal Challengers Bangalore.

They kick-started their campaign with a bang by notching up wins against UP Warriorz and Gujarat Giants.

However, the tide turned against them as they faced consecutive defeats in their battles with Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals, leaving them reeling at the fourth position in the WPL 2024 points table.

As they gear up for a crucial rematch against UP Warriorz on Monday, March 4—a team they narrowly edged out by a whisker of just two runs in their first encounter—Smriti Mandhana's brigade will be under pressure to field their strongest lineup to reignite their winning streak.

Despite a recent hiccup in performance, the opening duo of Mandhana and Sophie Devine are set to reclaim their spots at the helm, banking on their earlier successes in the tournament.

The core middle-order remains unshaken, comprising Sabbhineni Meghana, Ellyse Perry, Richa Ghosh, and Georgia Wareham.

Perry and Wareham's vital contributions in the face-off against Mumbai show their indispensability. In contrast, Meghana and Ghosh, despite their faltering against the same opponents, have shown enough mettle in WPL 2024 to retain the team's faith.

However, Sophie Molineux's recent form puts a shadow of doubt on her continued presence in the playing XI. Her wicketless outings and modest contributions with the bat against both Mumbai and Delhi could pave the way for Nadine de Klerk's return to the fold.

The bowling unit, led by Shreyanka Patil, Simran Bahadur, Asha Sobhana, and Renuka Singh, encountered a rough patch in their previous game against Mumbai. However, with options thin on the ground, the RCB-W team management is likely to stick by them.
