Kotambi Stadium Vadodara Pitch Report: Is It Batting Or Bowling Friendly? 12

The pitches at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara have been belters so far and the same is expected for the game between DC and RCB. So, the batters would enjoy the conditions and can hit through the line with pitch expected to dish out true bounce without any significant sidewards movement. The boundaries are also pretty small and expect plenty of boundaries and a high-scoring encounter.

Thus, top order batters and all-rounders would be good choice from fantasy point of view and on the bowling front, spinners can be more effective than pacers as they have bagged majority of wickets in three games.

Also, all the matches so far have been won by the team chasing the target, so expect the captain who wins the toss to bowl first.

Players To Watch Out For At Kotambi Stadium Vadodara

Shafali Verma

The young Indian opener is known for her aggressive batting and with the wicket on the flatter side, she is expected to score big and take full advantage of field restrictions. The batter also showed great form in the first game at this venue with a stunning knock of 43 from just 18 balls. She also has a great record in WPL with 604 runs in 19 matches at an average of 35.52 and strike-rate of 172.07.

Smriti Mandhana

The Indian vice-captain and RCB captain could not make much of an impact in the last game but is a quality batter and would score big on the flat deck in the next game. She has been in brilliant form off-late at the international level with an average of over 42 in T20Is in 2024 and is surely a player to watch out.

Annabel Sutherland

The Australian all-rounder is a genuine match winner and can turn the game with both bat and ball. She bowls at the death with the ball, which provides her an opportunity to pick more wickets and it was evident in the last game where she bagged three wickets. She also batted at number 4 in the last match and though she failed, she has been brilliant for Australia with the bat in ODIs and can produce a complete performance.
