Rishabh Pant, the star Indian wicketkeeper batter has injured himself while practicing in the ICC Academy in Dubai ahead of Champions Trophy 2025. The southpaw is a crucial player for India and him getting injured before a mega tournament is a worrying sign for the finalists of the last edition.

In the video that is going rounds on social media, Rishabh Pant is seen in lot of pain. He seem to have hurt his left knee after the ball hit by Hardik Pandya hit him on the ground. The support staff is initially seen removing his pad while the physio then charges towards the cricketer to help him with some ice pack.

KL Rahul Ahead In The Race Of Wicketkeepers For Champions Trophy 2025

Indian cricket fans would be hoping that the injury is not serious and he would be fit and ready for Champions Trophy. India would be playing their first match of Champions Trophy 2025 on February 20 against Bangladesh and it will be followed by a high-ticket encounter against Pakistan.

Rishabh Pant has played only one ODI game since his return from the brutal accident in December 2022 and KL Rahul is India's first wicketkeeper for Champions Trophy so far. However, Pant is also in contention due to his ability to change the complexion of the game with positive intent and there are chances that he might feature in the playing XI, if KL Rahul fails in the initial games.
