UP Warriorz slumped to a 23-run defeat at the hands of WPL 2024 co-hosts RCB Women in their most recent outing, which eventually snapped their two-game winning streak.

The outcome also ensured that Alysa Healy and co. slipped to number four on the WPL 2024 points table, thus finding themselves just ahead of a winless Gujarat Giants side.

UP Warriorz will now face defending champions Mumbai Indians in their subsequent WPL 2024 challenge on March 7 to launch their Delhi leg of the competition. Ahead of their much-awaited faceoff, here is a look at the probable playing XI of the UP Warriorz franchise.

UP Warriorz Probable XI vs Mumbai Indians

UP Warriorz's opening batter, Kiran Navgire, has tallied just 98 runs across all five WPL innings this season. Despite her repeated struggles with the bat, captain Alyssa Healy might well give her another chance in the playing XI for their impending game against Mumbai Indians.

Healy might continue to open the innings alongside out-of-form Navgire, with overseas heavyweights Chamari Athapaththu and Grace Harris occupying the next two slots in the batting order. Athapaththu, who found herself at the wrong end of a close DRS call earlier in the tournament, will be aiming to leave a mark in her maiden WPL season.

All-rounders Shweta Sehrawat, Deepti Sharma and Poonam Khemnar can helm the team's middle order owing to their slog-overs diligence. In-form bowler Sophie Ecclestone will continue to lead UP Warriorz's spin attack alongside Rajeshwari Gayakwad, while Anjali Sarvani and Saima Thakor will handle the pace department.
