In a memorable incident during the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024, Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) star player, Ellyse Perry, turned heads not just with her stellar performance, but also with a cheeky incident that left fans amused.

During RCB's clash against UP Warriorz on Monday at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Perry hit a massive six, which ended up breaking the window of a display car parked near the boundary line.

The incident occurred when Perry, delivering an exceptional performance, smashed a ball from Deepti Sharma in the 19th over, sending it flying straight through the window of a Tata Punch EV, placed by the sponsors.

The moment brought an unexpected twist to the game, capturing the attention of everyone present.

After RCB secured a 23-run victory, Perry humorously addressed the incident in a post-match conversation with the broadcasters.

“I was a bit worried. I don’t have any insurance here,” she joked, showcasing her light-hearted approach to the situation.

Perry thought back on the team's approach as well as her own performance.

"I was supposed to help Smriti (Mandhana) at first so she could go free. As much as we try to take pride in our fielding, it can be challenging in left-right combinations. We worked very hard at it. The girls' performance was amazing. It's great to end on a high note in front of our home fans," she remarked, complimenting the team and the fans for their support.

Her knock of 58 off 37 balls, along with Smriti Mandhana's impressive 80, played a crucial role in RCB's win, helping the team climb to the third spot in the points table.
