Senior England batter Jonny Bairstow is going through a rough patch in his career. The ongoing India tour has also been disappointing for the English batter. He has scored just 98 runs in five innings of the series till now, with a poor average of 19.60. After getting dismissed for a duck by Kuldeep Yadav in the first innings of the third Test, he topped an unpleasant list.

The Yorkshire batter is yet to score a fifty in the series. He had an opportunity to score runs in the Rajkot pitch, which has proven to be one of the most batting-friendly wickets in India. However, fortune didn't favour him, as Kuldeep Yadav trapped him in front of the wicket for a duck.

It was the eighth time the 34-year-old got out for a duck against India in Test cricket. It's unfortunate for the Englishman that he is currently on the top of the list of getting dismissed for the most number of ducks against India in Test cricket. He is the only designated batter in the top 6 of the list.

Bairstow surpassed former Pakistan leg-spinner Danish Kaneria to top the list. His dismissal triggered England's batting collapse, as they were bundled out for 319 runs in their first innings.

In response, India are 46 for the loss of Rohit Sharma's wicket in 18 overs as of writing.
