There are talks of IPL mini-auction date being rescheduled as the franchises are requesting BCCI on ground that there overseas support staff would be on Christmas holiday during the 23rd of December.

But all said and done whenever the auction takes place, the franchises will be looking to assort some talents in their team to get and edge in the competition. While the scouts of the 10 franchises already hunting down talents across the globe we at OneCricket try and find some of the names that might start a bidding war during the event.

One such name that would be grabbing the attention of the franchises during the mini-auction is - Mayank Dagar. Dagar is left-arm orthodox spin bowler and lower middle-order batter. He belongs to Delhi but features in the Indian domestic scene from Himachal Pradesh.

SMAT 2022

In the latest edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Mayank Dagar has been impeccable with his bowling. He picked up 12 wickets in 7 matches while conceding runs at an economy rate of just 5.22.

Mayank Dagar with his efficient bowling efforts in the middle overs, played a big role in Himachal Pradesh's run to the final.

So, the franchises looking for a spinner who can restrict the opposition scoring rate in the middle overs while picking up some valuable wickets will be looking to slot Dagar into the team. A spinner like Dagar who has shown the ability to be economical while striking wickets will be an asset for any team.

Franchises that might bid for Mayank Dagar: Punjab Kings, Mumbai Indians. Chennai Super Kings.
