Top 5 performers of the India vs New Zealand T20I series

India has won the T20I series against New Zealand by 1-0 margin. The third and final match of the series ended in a tie as rain interrupted the proceedings. 

Hardik Pandya's India managed to put on a brilliant show in the second match of the series and win the only game that ended in a result. In this article we will try and spot out the top 5 performers of this series. 

5. Devon Conway

Innings: 2 Runs: 84 SR: 118.30 AVG: 42.00

Devon Conway gave good steady starts to New Zealand in both the matches of the series that were played. The stability that he provided at the top of the order for the hosts makes him the 5th best performer of the series. 

4. Arshdeep Singh

Overs: 7 Runs Conceded: 66 Wickets: 4 Economy: 9.42

Arshdeep Singh was consistent for India with the ball in both the matches. He bowled 7 overs in the series and most of them were the difficult ones. Arshdeep picked up 4 wickets top his credit, and becomes the 4th best performer of the series. 

3. Tim Southee

Overs: 7 Runs Conceded: 61 Wickets: 5 Economy: 8.71

Tim Southee picked up a hattrick in the 2nd T20I and played a big role in restricting India below the 200 runs mark in the contest. He kept his wicket picking form going with a couple of wickets in the last match. 

2. Mohammed Siraj

Overs: 8 Runs Conceded: 41 Wickets: 6 Economy: 5.12

Siraj had the best figures among the bowlers in the series. Not only did he pick up wickets he was also very economical with the ball. Siraj is the second best performer of the series.

1. Suryakumar Yadav

Innings: 2 Runs: 124 SR: 203.27 AVG: 124.00

Surya brought up his second T20I hundred in the second match of the series. He played a brilliant knock of 111 runs off 51 balls and had the biggest impact in India's win. Thus his performance can be determined as the series defining performance, hence he is deservingly the performer of the series.
