Rajasthan Royals, the inaugural champions of the Indian Premier League have made some big changes in their management ahead of the mega auction for IPL 2025. Rahul Dravid has been drafted in as the head coach while Vikram Rathour is now their batting coach. They also boast of a solid Indian core and have plenty of players who can be retained.

However, a maximum of six players can be retained and one of those should be an uncapped one. There is also an option of retaining two uncapped players, and let's see who could be those players from Rajasthan Royals.

Sandeep Sharma

The right-arm pacer made his debut for India in 2015 and played two T20Is against Zimbabwe. However, with a new rule where an Indian player will be considered as uncapped if he has not played international cricket for five or more years, makes him an uncapped player now. It has given RR a great advantage as they would get an experienced player and a skilful bowler at a price of 4 Crore (Price cap for an uncapped cricketer.

Early in his career, Sandeep Sharma was a good Powerplay bowler, but in the last few years, he has developed great death-bowling skills as well. He picked 13 wickets in 11 matches in the last season, and was trusted by captain Sanju Samson to bowl last overs against best of the batters. So, expect RR to retain him as an uncapped player.

Tanush Kotian

Tanush Kotian has been one of the most impressive all-rounders in domestic cricket in last few years. He is primarily a bowling all-rounder, but he opened for RR in the only game he played for them in the last season. It shows that he has a batting potential as well and can be a good long term all-round option for Rajasthan Royals.

Overall, his T20 stats are also decent and the economy rate of just 6.07 makes him a reliable asset and a good choice if RR decide to retain two uncapped players.
