The IPL 2025 retentions are over and all the ten teams have finalised their retention list as the mega auction approaches thick and fast. Their were several notable exclusions in the retentions, and the three big names included Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul.

The trio will enter the mega auction and apart from them, some other big names will also enter as some of them will fetch big amount on the auction table. Here's a list of 3 stars who can fetch big amount in the upcoming auction.

3) Arshdeep Singh

Punjab Kings sprung a surprise as they excluded Arshdeep Singh from their retention list. The team only had two retentions, and that came up as a surprise to many. A high-quality left-arm pacer is a rare commodity in IPL and every team will go after Arshdeep in the mega auction.

There are quite a few teams who need a quality Indian pacer and so don't be surprised if Arshdeep fetches a huge amount of money in the mega auction.

2) Shreyas Iyer

Another retention surprise was KKR not retaining captain Shreyas Iyer. The skipper led the franchise to their third IPL title in 2024, but he wasn't rewarded as per his wish and as a result, Iyer decided to embark on a new journey.

Teams like RCB, LSG, DC, they need a solid captain to lead their side, and Iyer could be the perfect fit for it. He has been a remarkable captain in IPL and teams are likely to play a hefty amount of money to purchase his services.

1) Rishabh Pant

Perhaps the biggest surprise of the retention was that Delhi Capitals decided against retaining their star player, Rishabh Pant. Pant has been a loyal customer for DC since his debut season and has done exceptionally well in the past.

However, as per reports, he had a beef with the owners and as a result, he decided to put his name in the auction pool. With Pant entering, teams are likely to splash even 20-plus crores for the wicket-keeper batter. He can play the dual role of captain/keeper and this deadly combination will urge the team to give a large sum of money to the superstar player.
