One of India's most successful and loved captains, MS Dhoni, was recently captured performing a traditional pooja at his home in Ranchi on the occasion of Diwali. Dhoni, wife Sakshi, daughter Ziva, and parents were seen deeply engrossed in the holy vibe.
Post retirement from international cricket, MS Dhoni is enjoying his life away from the limelight with his family. He spends most of his days at his farmhouse and home in Ranchi. As an extremely down to earth person, Dhoni stays connected to his roots whenever he gets a chance. And on this Diwali, Dhoni hosted a traditional ceremony to celebrate the big festival.

In a video circulating on social media platforms, MS Dhoni was captured performing a traditional pooja as per Hindu customs on the occasion of Diwali. His Ranchi house was all decked up as Dhoni and Sakshi performed the pooja as a couple. His parents, daughter Ziva and close friends also attended the ceremony to seek blessings and celebrate the festival with the Dhoni family.
MS Dhoni was recently retained by CSK for the upcoming IPL 2025 season as an uncapped player since rules for retired players were tweaked ahead of the mega auction. He is set to feature in IPL at the age 43 with no signs of slowing down so far.
CSK also retained Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ravindra Jadeja, Matheesha Pathirana, and Shivam Dube. The five-time champions will sit at the auction table with an INR 55 crores purse and 1 RTM card.
CSK interested in Rishabh Pant
Former CSK batter Suresh Raina sparked speculations of CSK potentially pursuing Rishabh Pant at the impending IPL 2025 mega auction. DC released Pant at the October 31 retention deadline due to differences with owners and management. And Raina revealed that he spotted Pant hanging out with MS Dhoni in Delhi a few days ago. Raina believes something is cooking and Pant could be seen in yellow jersey soon.
