Washington Sundar had a magnificent start to the third Test match against New Zealand in Mumbai, as he cleaned up the visitors' key batters, Tom Latham and Rachin Ravindra with brilliant deliveries. After castling Tom Latham with a beauty, Sundar uprooted Ravindra's off stump with an identical delivery.

The incident occurred during the 20th over of New Zealand's first innings after skipper Tom Latham won the toss and elected to bat first. Akash Deep got India off to a flier, trapping Devon Conway plumb in front of the stumps with a sharp nip-backer.

As Latham developed a partnership with Will Young, Washington Sundar spoiled New Zealand's party, getting rid of the visiting skipper with a magical delivery. He continued his onslaught on the Blackcaps, sending their in-form number four batter Rachin Ravindra with a similar ball.

From around the wicket, Sundar bowled a full-length delivery that turned sharply away from Ravindra after pitching around the off stump. As the southpaw played a forward defensive shot, the ball went past his outside edge, uprooting his off stump in the process. As Ravindra was castled, Sarfaraz Khan, fielding at silly point, gave him a mouthful to the young Kiwi batter.

Will Young Frustrates India With His Stroke Play

Despite losing partners at one end, stylish batter Will Young kept his composure, frustrating India with his scintillating stroke-play. After Ravindra's dismissal, Young was joined by Daryl Mitchell in the middle. At the time of writing, New Zealand were 79 for three, with Young and Mitchell batting on 34* and 3*, respectively.
