On Friday, January 3, Sydney Sixers will lock horns against Brisbane Heat at the C.ex Coffs International Stadium in New South Wales. It is not Sydney Sixers' home ground, but the Men in Pink play at least one game here every year.

Usually, the Sixers play their first game of the year here at the C.ex Coffs Stadium as the famous SCG will be busy hosting the 5th and final Test of the ongoing BGT. The last match that took place in January 2024 here at this venue, saw the Sixers breach the 200-run mark for the first time at this venue, which is also the highest total at this venue.

Ahead of the upcoming match between the Sixers and the Heat, let's look how the pitch will behave during the match.

C.ex Coffs International Stadium Pitch Report: Is It Batting Or Bowling Friendly?

Looking at the history of C.ex Coffs stadium, it helps the batters, but can't be termed as a batting paradise. Despite, the last match saw 200+ runs on the board, the average score at this venue is 135. Thus, bowlers too will have a say, but if the batters play according to situation, then a 150-160+ total on the board would be more than enough.

Also, the history suggests that the pitch suits the bowlers as the match goes on and only once has the team batting second won the match. Thus, the advice would be to win the toss and opt to bat first.

Players To Watch Out For At C.ex Coffs International Stadium

Xavier Bartlett

The Heat bowler is in top form and has taken the BBL 2024-2025 by storm as he has taken nine wickets in BBL 2024-25, the third most by a bowler in this edition. Further, in Heat's last match against Melbourne Stars, the right-arm seamer made headlines after his four-wicket haul.

Jackson Bird

Since, the pitch might suit the bowlers, another player that the Heat need to be wary off is Jackson Bird. Bird also registered a four-wicket haul in Sixers' last match, which came in a losing end.

Moises Henriques

Since it will Sixers' home ground, then eyes would be on their skipper Moises Henriques, who is in top-notch form as well. He has taken 132 runs in five matches and is also making the name for his leadership skills.

The C.ex Coffs stadium is a type of surface that Henriques would drool over and look to gather as many runs as possible.
