South Africa will meet Pakistan in the second Test of the ongoing series. The match is set to start on Friday, January 3, at the iconic Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town. The hosts clinched victory in the first Test by a narrow two-wicket margin. A thrilling partnership between Kagiso Rabada and Marco Jansen saw them add 51 runs for the ninth wicket, turning the match around from a challenging position.

Despite Mohammad Abbas’s six-wicket haul in the second innings, the Proteas chased down their target on Day 4, with Rabada and Jansen scoring 32 runs off just 31 balls in a crucial session.

Aiden Markram earned the Player of the Match title for his consistent performances in both innings. However, it was debutant Corbin Bosch’s contributions with both the bat and ball that gave South Africa a vital edge in the first innings.

While Proteas will be looking for a clean sweep in their two-match Test series, Pakistan may need to reconsider their top order if they hope to level the series.
