Imad Wasim, Azam Khan Out? Here’s Islamabad United’s Probable XI Vs Quetta Gladiators

Taking on Quetta Gladiators in Match 8 of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 edition in Lahore, Islamabad United, one of the strongest units in the league, will look to get back to their winning ways.

Led by Shadab Khan, Islamabad began the season with a commanding eight-wicket victory over Lahore Qalandars, with Shadab himself leading by example with an unbeaten 41-ball 74 with the bat in hand. Alex Hales and Agha Salman gave him fitting support, but they all failed miserably in the following fixture.

In Islamabad’s five-wicket defeat to Multan Sultans, the biggest disappointments from their side were Azam Khan and Imad Wasim. While Azam’s poor form with both club and country has been a worry lately, Imad could not manage to make a significant impact with either bat or ball.

However, Islamabad are unlikely to take a bold call as of now. The tournament has just begun, and both of them are crucial members of the squad, with high hopes around them.

Therefore, Islamabad will keep Colin Munro and Alex Hales at the top, while Agha Salman, Shadab Khan, Azam Khan, and Jordan Cox are flexible in the middle order. Imad Wasim and Faheem Ashraf will come next, while Shah brothers - Naseem and Ubaid - will follow them. Tymal Mills, the Englishman, is expected to be at No. 11.
