The third and final ODI between India and New Zealand is all set to be played on 29th of October at the Narendra Modi Stadium. It is a decider as New Zealand came back strongly in the second match after losing the first game and it is expected to be a cracking game with two quality sides in action.

It is a pressure encounter and would be a good test, especially for the Indian team who have faltered under pressure in the recent past. They won the first game, but their batting has been below-par in both the games, and their senior players need to show more responsibility in this final match. However, changes are not expected in the batting line-up as almost all the batters are experienced and proven performers and they are likely to be backed.

Priya Mishra To Retain Her Place After Impressive Debut

However, on the bowling front, Renuka Singh was rested in the last game and India decided to include an extra spinner in the squad, Priya Mishra. She impressed in her debut game and is likely to be retained, but Renuka Singh is set to make a comeback in place of Arundhati Reddy.

Rest of the XI is likely to be same as Saima Thakor has done well as an all-rounder in both the games and Tejal Hasabnis also scored runs in the first game. So, there is expected to be only one change in the Indian team and it is all about execution on the field. If their batters can support their bowlers in this match, India Women might come out with a much-needed series win after T20 World Cup 2024 disaster.
