South Africa registered a convincing win in the first Test against Bangladesh in Dhaka and now the caravan has moved to Chattogram for the second and final Test of the series. Bangladesh would be eyeing a comeback in this game after faltering on a tough pitch in the last Test, and have made one change in their squad with Khaled Ahmed replacing Taskin Ahmed.

The pitch in Chattogram is expected to be better for batting than it was in Dhaka and it it is likely to provide less assistance to the spinners. So, there could be some tactical changes in the Bangladesh XI and let's see how their combination will shape up for the all-important Test.

As the pitch is expected to be better for the batters, Bangladesh are likely to go away from the spin-heavy XI they assembled in the first Test. They had only one pacer, Hasan Mahmud in the playing XI, but in this Test, they would atleast need two pacer and Nahid Rana with his genuine pace can be a good option. He can rattle the batters with his pace even if there is not much help for the bowlers and it could prove handy in Chattogram.

Nayeem Hasan Likely To Be Dropped

Nayeem Hasan could make way for him as other two spinners like Taijul Islam and Mehidy Hasan Miraz did well in the first Test. There is also a possibility of Zakir Hasan coming back into the XI at the top of the order in place of Shadman Islam. However, Islam scored a fifty in the second innings of the final Test against India and also scored 93 in Pakistan. So, he might get another go.

Rest of the batting line-up is likely to be same despite the failure in the last game and they would be hoping that the trio of Shanto, Mominul Haque and Mushfiqur Rahim score big runs in this Test. Litton Das would be the designated wicketkeeper and he also needs big runs under his belt. Overall, Bangladesh batters need to step up in this game and if they do that, they might level the series after a disappointing performance in Dhaka.
