Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will be gunning down their maiden IPL trophy in the IPL 2025 season. Rajat Patidar will be their new captain for the season after they retained the promising talent for INR 11 crore during the mega auction.
RCB went with an unusual approach during the IPL 2025 mega auction. Instead of spending big on marquee players, the management went with lesser-known names to build a balanced lineup.
As for the bowling, RCB parted ways with lead pace Mohammad Siraj as he joined GT this year. That being said, with the IPL 2025 season just around the corner, let’s rate RCB’s bowling lineup.
This year, RCB will have a new lead pacer in Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The veteran medium-pace, also known as the swing king, will likely open the attack for Bengaluru in IPL 2025.
Yash Dayal is another promising talent who was retained by RCB. After getting hit for five sixes, Dayal bounced back in IPL 2024 to deliver a breakthrough year for RCB.
Another important pacer is Nuwan Thushara. He has the ability to deliver crushing yorkers with express speed, which could be a game changer for Bengaluru.

With blend of experience and youth, RCB's pace attack gets a rating of 7 out of 10.
Rating RCB’s Spin Attack
RCB does not have any prominent spinners in their lineup. However, young talents like Suyash Sharma and Swapnil Singh are expected to deliver.
Their key spinner will be all-rounder Krunal Pandya. He has vast experience of bowling in IPL and can deliver breakthroughs in key moments. Hence, Pandya will be RCB’s primary spinner this year. Liam Livingstone is another all-rounder who will play a key role in the franchise's spin attack.

RCB's spin attack does not seem very promising as they will largely rely on all-rounders.
Conclusion
While RCB’s bowling lineup does not feature star names, they have the balance to succeed. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Krunal Pandya’s experience coupled with Yash Dayal and Suyash Sharma’s youth talent, RCB have struck the right balance. However, M.Chinnaswamy Stadium is ruthless to bowlers. Hence, all these bowlers will have to bring their A game to succeed in the IPL 2025.
