There is a fresh development to the KKR-LSG IPL 2025 match saga as the latest reports suggest that the Cricket Association Of Bengal is set to shift the crucial match to Guwahati in Assam. Notably, in the fixtures released by the BCCI, Eden Gardens was set to host KKR-LSG on April 6.

The fixture was marred with slight trouble as the Kolkata police had informed CAB that they wouldn't be able to provide sufficient security cover for the April 6 tie because of the occasion of Ram Navami. Meanwhile, the Bengal Cricket Association wrote to the BCCI and asked the Roger Binny-led board to postpone the fixture.

KKR-LSG Match Likely To Be Shifted To Guwahati

However, the BCCI couldn't do much in this issue as they had already made the fixtures and rather urged the CAB to relocate the game. In the latest events, according to a report from RevSportz, the CAB president has confirmed to them that the KKR-LSG match on April 6 will shift to Guwahati. Thus, it is likely that Guwahati might host three games this season.

At present, it is unknown which stadium in Guwahati will host the much awaited clash, but the fans are anticipating that it could be Rajasthan Royals' home ground - Barsapara Stadium.

It is worth noting that since 2023, Rajasthan Royals have scheduled two of their home games at the Barsapara Stadium to promote cricket awareness in Northeast India. Further, the stadium also marks Riyan Parag's home ground. Talking about Parag, the 23-year-old has been named interim skipper for the Royals for the first three matches of IPL 2025.
