Boult’s Dhoni Remark Breaks The Internet Ahead of MI vs CSK 2025

Ahead of their much-anticipated face-off in IPL 2025 on Sunday, April 20, Mumbai Indians' spearhead Trent Boult dropped a statement that has the internet buzzing.

“I know one player the crowd will definitely come to see on Sunday vs CSK,"  said Boult.

No prizes for guessing. He meant Thala Dhoni. And to be be honest, whether you bleed blue or yellow, when Dhoni walks out, the crowd roars louder than ever.

The clash between MI and CSK in IPL 2025 is not just another league game. It is nostalgia, it is rivalry and for MS Dhoni fans, maybe a final chapter at the Wankhede.


MI Finally Picking Up Steam

Mumbai Indians didn’t start this season the way they would have liked. With four losses in their first five games, things looked bleak. But MI have hit back. Back-to-back wins, first against Delhi Capitals, then against Sunrisers Hyderabad, have brought them back into the mix.

Their latest win came on April 17 at home against SRH. Chasing 163, MI crossed the line with four wickets in hand and suddenly, they don’t look so lost anymore.

On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings are having a season to forget. They started off well, beating MI by 4 wickets in their opening IPL 2025 match but the wheels came off soon after. Five consecutive losses had fans worried. They did manage to get a much-needed win over Lucknow Super Giants, but they are still bottom of the points table with just 2 wins from 7 matches.

Meanwhile, expect Wankhede to go full throttle in the upcoming MI vs CSK match. MS Dhoni age is 43 and if this is his last outing at the venue, emotions will run high and CSK will be hungry to prove they are not done just yet.
