Royal Challengers Bangalore Women made history by clinching their first WPL (Women’s Premier League) championship, beating Delhi Capitals women in the final of the tournament on March 17 at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.

In a gesture of celebration, the Royal Challengers Bangalore hosted an extravagant unboxing event at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, where the men's team honoured the victorious women's team with a dignified guard of honour.

Amidst the celebration at Chinnaswamy Stadium, RCB women’s captain Smriti Mandhana was caught on camera returing Virat Kohli a favour by video calling with RCB's standout all-rounder Ellyse Perry and Sophie Molineux.

After concluding the league phase of WPL 2024 in third place, the Royal Challengers Bangalore Women secured a thrilling victory over Harmanpreet Kaur-led Mumbai Indians Women, in the eliminator, edging past them by just five runs.

Later, their bowlers produced a magnificent display in the tournament final, bowling out Delhi Capitals women's team for a mere 113 runs, a target that the RCB Women's batter successfully chased down in the closing overs of the match.

When RCB Women clinched the WPL trophy, it set off a massive bash.

The RCB fanatics turned it into a full-blown festival. Now, as we roll into IPL 2024, the RCB men, led by Faf du Plessis are eyeing the IPL title to bring double the happiness to their fans and end the trophy drought.
