Australia will begin their ICC T20 World Cup 2024 campaign in match 10 of the tournament against Oman in a group B clash on the evening of June 5 in Barbados. Australian opener, Travis Head has opened up about his partnership with David Warner upfront and how the duo complement each other.

The left-hander compared the situation with his IPL opening partner Abhishek Sharma who had massive success as a pair in the recently concluded season while batting with a left-hander,

"I think we complement each other well, a little bit like Abhi and I did for SRH. I think looking back in the times, Dave and I batted, he'd exceptional against spin the powerplay. We have had some strong partnerships together and have faced a lot of different plans," said Head.

About planning and preparing for the opposition and working on the things on the go, ahead of the Oman clash,

"From our perspective, going through who they [opponents] may have, who we set up better at and who we feel like we've got a plan on and then we adjust from there is how we usually work. So, we'll pick our targets that we both feel like we have a chance against and then we'll go from there," the Aussie opener added.

The duo also led Australia's batting up at the top during the latter stages of the 2023 Cricket World Cup triumph in India and would like to replicate the efforts in the USA and West Indies.
