Following India's triumphant T20 World Cup 2024 victory, wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan has expressed his optimism for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025.

Despite being sidelined from the T20 World Cup squad due to disciplinary issues, Kishan remains supportive of the team.

Kishan Praises Team India

Ishan Kishan told PTI. and reflect his confidence in the team's ability to continue their winning streak in future tournaments.

"India has won. We should all pray for their win in the upcoming Champions Trophy. We were making some mistakes but the way we played and won, it was expected from the team.”

Celebrating the T20 WC 2024 Victory

India's T20 World Cup 2024 journey was spectacular, with the team remaining undefeated throughout the tournament. They won the T20 World Cup 2024 by defeating South Africa in a thrilling final on June 29 in Barbados.

The victory parade in Mumbai saw an overwhelming turnout of fans, celebrating the team's success. BCCI officials rewarded the Rohit Sharma-led team with a cheque of Rs 125 crore, recognizing their remarkable achievement.

During the parade, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja announced their retirement from T20Is, marking the end of an era for Indian cricket. The victory not only brought home the World Cup Trophy but also reignited the spirit of cricket among the fans.

Kishan's Exclusion and Future Hopes

Ishan Kishan's exclusion from the T20 World Cup squad was due to disciplinary actions by the BCCI. He, along with Shreyas Iyer, was dropped from the central contract for not complying with domestic cricket requirements.

Kishan had prioritized IPL preparation over playing in the Ranji Trophy, leading to his omission.

Despite these setbacks, Kishan remains hopeful and his unwavering support underscores his belief in the team's potential to secure more victories.
