Pakistan’s embarrassing World Cup 2023 campaign in India came to an end after they lost to England by 93 runs in their final league match at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The Men in Green, who were thought to be one of the serious title contenders ahead of the campaign, did not do much under Babar Azam’s captaincy.

Even the other stars, such as Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan, and Haris Rauf failed to live up to their lofty standards. As a result, Pakistan finished fifth on the points table, with four wins and five defeats.

Nevertheless, Pakistan players received warm welcomes wherever they travelled to India to play during the World Cup 2023. There were some visa concerns before the tournament's start, but players were delighted for the welcome they received, and also posted on social media platforms expressing gratitude.

However, Mohammad Rizwan didn’t forget what happened before. As Rizwan was giving autographs to fans, he was asked if he would travel to India frequently, possibly because of bilateral series against the country. In a cheeky dig at their neighbors, the Pakistani wicket-keeper batter suggested they should be granted visas seamlessly to make that happen.

Rizwan will be back in action in December when the Men in Green will tour Australia for a three-match Test series.
