Pakistan have a job in hand to outmuscle England at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens in order to qualify for the World Cup 2023 semi-finals. However, as things stand in the Sri Lanka versus New Zealand fixture, the Men in Green have to pull off something spectacular against the defending champions to turn their dreams into reality.

In light of this, Pakistani fast bowlers Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali, and Haris Rauf, who have fallen short of their high expectations in the current competition, trained diligently in advance of the game that would decide their fate.

A video, which was posted by the ICC on Instagram, featuring Mohamaad Rizwan, Babar Azam, and other Pakistani batters, appeared to show that they were feeling too hot to handle the attack.

To make the entire clip very attention-grabbing, one of the deliveries actually sent Rizwan's stumps cartwheeling.

However, Pakistan have a lot to do if New Zealand secure a big-margin victory against Sri Lanka, taking place in Bengaluru on Thursday. At the time of writing, Sri Lanka are 165/9 after 44.4 overs, with Maheesh Theekshana playing a knock to remember, batting on 35* off 84 balls.
