MS Dhoni, in his infinite wisdom, seemingly once shared a valuable advice with Marcus Stoinis. As the belligerent Australian all-rounder gears up for the all-important first qualifier clash of the ongoing SA20 2024 season, the cricketer recently recited the same during an interview on the social media pages of the Durban's Super Giants franchise.


Marcus Stoinis shares MS Dhoni advice about big games

Mere hours prior to Durban’s Super Giants’ Qualifier 1 clash at the SA20 2024 season, the franchise shared an excerpt from Marcus Stoinis' interview where the Australian all-rounder can be seen sharing the advice he received from former Indian cricketer and all-time great MS Dhoni.

Stoinis claimed that Dhoni once signified the importance of big games, saying:

“MS Dhoni said one thing to me, in big games, everyone thinks that I've got to do something extra & something different. He said Everyone else going to change, I'm going to be the only one here that doesn't change. And that holds him ahead of everyone.”

Turning up for Durban's Super Giants franchise, Marcus Stoinis has so far minted 63 runs from four innings and has taken ten wickets across six SA20 2024 outings. Despite making limited appearances, the 34-year-old all-rounder has played a crucial role in helping his side secure the number two spot on the SA20 2024 points table.

Durban's Super Giants will go up against defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape on February 6 at Cape Town's Newlands Cricket Ground.

Soon after the SA20 2024 season, Marcus Stoinis will again cross paths with CSK legend MS Dhoni at the forthcoming IPL 2024 event.
