Amidst speculations about his future with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), former Indian captain and current CSK skipper MS Dhoni created a buzz when a video surfaced showing him being chased by a crazy group of fans.

In the viral footage, it is evident that the ever fit Dhoni is jogging in public without any security personnel around him, attracting significant attention. Despite his retirement from international cricket in 2020, he remains one of the most adored cricketers globally, cherished not only in India but around the world. A considerable number of fans were observed pursuing him in the video, with some even capturing running selfies, while others matched his pace to catch a glimpse of their idol.

Although Dhoni bid farewell to international cricket in 2020, he maintains his active participation with the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. In the epic final match of the 2023 season between CSK and Gujarat Titans, Dhoni confirmed his return for another season. He expressed a desire to treat the season as a return gift, intending to personally thank the fans who have ardently supported him for many years.

Just ahead of the 2024 IPL auctions, CSK officially announced Dhoni's continuation as the team's captain for the upcoming season. Despite undergoing knee surgery after the previous IPL season, Dhoni appears ready to resume his leadership role in the tournament.

CSK has clinched five IPL titles in 2010, 2011, 2018, 2021, and 2023, establishing Dhoni as an integral part of the franchise and its leading brand. Despite concerns regarding his participation in the upcoming season due to surgery, Kasi Vishwanathan, CSK's CEO, confirmed that CSK legend will be able to turn up and lead CSK in the 2024 season. He acknowledged the former Indian skipper's dedication to his fans and assured that if Dhoni has made a commitment, he is likely to fulfill it.

CSK pacer Deepak Chahar also voiced optimism about Dhoni's fitness, suggesting that the legendary captain could play for another 2-3 seasons. It is expected that Dhoni will join CSK's pre-season preparatory camp, scheduled to take place in Chennai next month.
