When Kohli & Kane Williamson Engaged In Funny Banter Over Each Other’s Height

Indian batting great Virat Kohli shares a great camaraderie with New Zealand legend Kane Williamson, as evidenced from their numerous on-field interactions and off-field banter. Back in May 2020, at a time when both cricketers were confined to their homes owing to COVID-19 pandemic, Kohli expressed his admiration for the latter by sharing a heartfelt picture on his social media accounts.

Much to the delight of the cricketing spectrum and fans of the two legends, Kohli’s genuine appreciation post soon turned into a zone of some hilarious social media banter between the two.

When Virat Kohli and Williamson compared heights

Back in May 2020, Virat Kohli shared a throwback picture of himself alongside Kane Williamson. In the caption, Kohli wrote:

“Love our chats. Good man”

While Kane Williamson acknowledged Kohli’s heartfelt gesture, the ‘Black Caps’ veteran also joked about trying to figure out which of them is looking taller in the picture. The legendary Indian cricketer correspondingly responded with an equally hilarious remark in the comments section.

Both Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson have engaged in some fierce on-field battles with each other over the years. Their most recent faceoff occurred during the semifinal of the 2023 World Cup back in November 2023 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Kohli punched out his record-shattering 50th ODI century in the match, one which took him past Sachin Tendulkar’s overall tally in the format. The modern-day Indian legend received a congratulatory handshake from rival Williamson upon the time of his dismissal.
