Controversy erupted in the West Indies Vs England 3rd ODI as Alzarri Joseph had a heated exchange with skipper Shai Hope and walked off the field due to dissatisfaction related to field placements. The incident occurred in thr 4th over of the England innings.

After choosing to bowl first in the series decider, West Indies had a dream start as they got the early wickets. Alzarri didn't get his desired field setup as he argued with his skipper, Shai Hope who was behind the stumps. The incident occurred in the 4th over of the match as an agry Alzarri delivered a brilliant bouncer to dismiss Jordon Cox.

He didn't celebrate and after the completion of the over, the right-arm seamer walked off the field in anger as West Indies had to play with 10 men. Luckily, it didn't effect the outcome of the contest as West Indies won the match rather easily.

The home side needed 264 runs to win the series, and they achieved the target with utmost ease. Brandon King (102) and Keacy Carty (128*) played blinders and steered West Indies to a comfortable victory.

Sammy not tolerating unacceptable behaviour from Joseph

After the clash, the Windies coach, Daren Sammy criticised Jospeh's behaviour by calling it "unacceptable." He asserted that players should have a proper on-field behaviour and such actions tarnish their image.

“Behaviour like that is unacceptable on my cricket field. We will be friends…but in the culture I’m trying to build, that’s unacceptable. We will definitely have a chat about that.” he told TalkSport.

“I pride myself on having the difficult conversations. But in a way that everybody understands what is needed to be done. To see guys going out there and slowly progressing in the right direction makes me proud. There’s still a lot of work to be done, but it’s one that I’m quite passionate about.”

With the ODIs done and dusted, the caravan now shifts towards the T20I series as the two sides will lock horns in the game's shortest format, starting on November 10.
