The third ODI between West Indies and England in Bridgetown, Barbados brought happiness around the Caribbean as the home team registered a much-needed series win over England with a comfortable eight-wicket win. However, there was an incident between Alzarri Joseph and Shai Hope that would not have pleased people in the Caribbean as the pacer was clearly not happy with his captain and had some unpleasant words for him as well.
Alzarri Joseph Bowls A Wicket-Maiden
It was the fourth over of the match and Alzarri Joseph was bowling well. After the first ball, he was unhappy with the field placement and made sure that his captain knows it. On the second ball, he signalled again to the dressing room about something, but kept bowling and eventually got the better of Jordan Cox with an absolute beauty. It was the fourth ball of the over and almost an unplayable bouncer at 148 KPH and Cox had not answer for it.
As he celebrated the wicket with his teammates, Alzarri Joseph had heated conversation with Shai Hope and walked off the field in anger after the over. He came back to the field after the one over gap, but the incident clearly is not a good sign for West Indies cricket.
England managed to score 263 at the end of their 50 overs, but Brandon King and Keacy Carty stood tall for West Indies and they crossed the line in just 43 overs. Both the batters scored centuries and the series win after a loss in Sri Lanka would be a relief for Shai Hope and co.
